ABOUT

Meru Tumang Solas Temple as a place of worship of Lord Vishnu & also Bhatari Dewi Danu, with a temple facing south. Lingga Petak Temple “Meru Tumpang Telu” has four doors facing the four cardinal directions, where Lingga Petak Temple is the source of Beratan lake water & Fertility in the Beratan lake area. Where inside the temple building there is a sacred well that stores Tirta Ulun Danu Beratan where in the well there is a Linga flanked by two large black & red stones.

There are three main Shrines, Pelinggih Dalem Purwa as the palace and to worship goddess “Dewi Durga” and gods “Dewa Ludra” as a source of prosperity, Mani Murda Shrine and a long hall “Bale Pemaruman” as a place to hold the “Upakara” the ceremony supplies. The shrines are faces east and located on the south banks of Lake Beratan.

The temple is devoted to worship Tri Purusha Shiva, those are Shiva, Sadha Shiva, Parama Shiva. Founded by I Gusti Agung Putu before 1556 Saka year (1634 AD). This temple facing south, and could be seen after entering the Balinese Gate “Candi Bentar” towards to the lake Beratan.
